well the trip to darlington was fun. was nice to get away. pool was a little cold, but we all got in for a couple hours anyway.

as far as adventure goes, not so much.

So annual evaluations are coming up this month. I of course am the greatest employee ever, so I'm not worried :P
But this year I have to GIVE an evaluation to my first office assistant. God these things are nerve wrecking. I am so insecure about if I am doing it correctly. My colleagues say, just make sure you can back up the areas that you say she is not meeting or aka: unsatisfactory or needs improvement. And to always end on a positive note.
Well I just counted it up and she has 7 items on the performance review that she needs improvement on.
So does this mean I am a crappy supervisor or she is just a crappy assistant?

I need a pop-tart. They're like crack I swear.

And it's not like she doesn't do her work correctly, the problem is actually getting her to do the work without getting distracted and talking my head off when she is here. And the main problem is a biggie, b/c she doesnt seem to understand what is appropriate interaction with our management and clients/families that come thru the door. So that will be a little tough to talk with her about. Everything in the office has to be kept strictly confidential b/c we provide a Medicaid service and you just cant talk to a client about another client, etc. Which is probably normal in any office. I just gotta buck up and do the eval. I hope she doesnt cry. Cause she probably wont get a raise :(
